Waiza Nabeel, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Waiza Nabeel grew up in Ohio and has loved being around animals for as long as she can remember. She earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science with a specialization in Bioscience from The Ohio State University in 2018, with the goal of pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. During her undergraduate years, she gained hands-on experience by working summers at an alpaca farm and at a small animal veterinary practice as a veterinary assistant. She also spent a summer in Thailand researching diet availability in recovering Asian elephants.
Dr. Nabeel went on to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2023. She has since worked in general practice and completed a rotating veterinary internship at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital. Her true passion lies in shelter medicine, and she is a strong advocate for animal rescues.
In her free time, Dr. Nabeel enjoys spending time with her family. She shares her home with her beloved rescue dog, Gaia, from Pakistan; her tabby cat, Baby, who rules the household; and Suki, an island cat she adopted while living in St. Kitts. She loves going on long walks with her fiancé and Gaia, traveling, and indulging in a hearty Pakistani meal.
