Pet Laser Therapy

A non-invasive holistic treatment.

We are excited to offer laser therapy for dogs and cats! Photobiomodulation therapy is an FDA-approved, non-invasive, drug-free, pain-free, holistic treatment used to enhance the body's natural healing process, providing relief from pain and inflammation, and faster healing times from surgery, wounds, orthopedic injury, or skin issues. In fact, studies indicate that laser-treated wounds heal in a third to a half of the time typically required! It’s a great option for post-op dogs, older dogs, and dogs living with chronic conditions like arthritis.

How does pet laser therapy work?

Laser therapy uses deep penetrating beams of the light (photons) to alter cells and the tissue that surrounds them. When the photons penetrate the body’s cellular components, it stimulates higher metabolism, increasing circulation and promoting healing. Perhaps most importantly to patients and owners, though: laser therapy is entirely painless.

Whether your pet is struggling with post-surgical pain or they’re simply getting older, laser therapy can help them live their very best life. Treatments are relatively quick and can be easily integrated with traditional medical procedures and other holistic practices like acupuncture, reiki, and hydrotherapy.

Laser therapy, like other alternative therapies, is fully appreciated via accumulation. This means that multiple sessions should be done in the first few weeks, with gradually increasing the time between each session.

What conditions can laser therapy treat?

Laser therapy can help treat a number of chronic and acute conditions in dogs including:

  • Allergies
  • Arthritis and inflammation
  • Lacerations and burns
  • Hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis
  • Skin conditions and infections
  • Fractures, sprains, and strains
  • Gingivitis and tooth extraction pain
  • Wound healing and post-surgical pain relief
